The work has emerged through a collaboration with ten students at Slättgårdsskolan (Bredäng, Stockholm). The photographic material was collected during a one week workshop at the school and was then edited by me. The text that has been applied to the surface of the image is the poem Osårbar (Invulnerable) by Bruno K. Öijer translated into a variety of languages by native language teachers at the school. During the workshop week a range of themes and questions were depicted through stagings, simple animations, images, photographs and writing. I was throughout the process as a supervisor. The piece shows various ways of creating new stories and the linguistic and cultural richness of Bredäng. At the same time it is treating existential questions with small gestures as well as intertwining histories, stories, languages, thoughts and dreams into a small and ambiguous monument of the sense of togetherness and a creative community.
