The work emerged through a collaboration with ten students at Slättgårdsskolan (Bredäng, Stockholm). The photographic material was collected during a one-week workshop at the school and was then edited by Selander. The text that was applied to the surface of the image is the poem Osårbar (Invulnerable) by Bruno K. Öijer, translated into a variety of languages by native language teachers at the school. During the workshop week, a range of themes and questions were depicted through stagings, simple animations, images, photographs, and writing. Selander acted as supervisor throughout the process. The piece shows various ways of creating new stories and the linguistic and cultural richness of Bredäng. At the same time, it treats existential questions with small gestures as well as intertwining histories, stories, languages, thoughts, and dreams into a small and ambiguous monument of the sense of togetherness and a creative community.
