The World Beyond This

Lina Selander and theologian Petra Carlsson Redell have, over several years, collaborated at the borderland between art and theology. At Sigtunastiftelsen, they are showing their joint work for the first time. In The World Beyond This, site-specific works and spatial installations are presented featuring, among other things, film, language, and physical objects.
The exhibition moves through fragmentation and noise, where language and meaning break apart and return in new forms. In a time of climate crisis, fragile democracy, and an abundance of stories, it explores how the world can be sensed where language falters and images are disrupted. Double exposures, spatial gaps, and defective machines open up other ways of experiencing time, body, and holiness. In the non-linear, the crack becomes an opportunity, hinting at the outline of a world beyond this.
